一、学校简介

罗格斯大学,全称罗格斯·新泽西州立大学,简称罗大(Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey)是美国新泽西州的最大高等学府。罗格斯大学的主要校园位于新布朗斯维克和皮斯卡特维,另有两个分校在纽瓦克和肯顿。罗格斯大学由29个大学学院构成,其中16个学院并另提供大学以上之研究所或专业学位。罗格斯大学提供超过100个学士学位、100个硕士学位以及80个博士或专业学位。

东北地区的一所充满活力的新型大学,开设的课程广泛、水平多样,从高级国家文凭,本科学位,直到教学类硕士课程,还可获得达到博士水平的研究机会。本校与工商业界有长期联系的传统,使得课程设置与雇主的要求密切结合。许多本科课程的组成部分还包括在英国或外国工作实习一段时间。本校有著骄人的学术成就,为数不少的毕业生和文凭获得者在世界舞台上创造着成功的业绩。大学全日和非全日在校学生共一万六千名。

罗格斯曾经一度被广泛认为是哥伦比亚大学的姊妹学校,因为罗格斯大学本名为皇后学院而哥伦比亚大学本名为国王学院,而当初两校创校时就是为了表现此种姊妹学校之关系而命名的。

该校全美综合排名六十位。

二、项目模式

罗格斯大学将遴选出数个教授实验室以及颇具实力的指导教师来参与两校间的国际交流合作项目。

我校负责从优推荐5-6名现大三全日制在读本科生次年赴罗格斯大学完成毕业实习,时长为一学期。

Interested students may conduct research in the development of organic synthetic methodology, the design and synthesis of anticancer prodrugs for the site-specific activation in tumor tissues, and the design and synthesis of inhibitors of protein-protein interactions between Eph receptors and their protein ligand ephrins, and between Keap1 and Nrf2.

Within the research area, depending on the student’s background and research interest, one may conduct research in mechanistic studies on cancer prevention and anti-inflammation by novel compounds using the cell culture systems and animal models. Possible Senior Thesis Topics

One potential thesis topic is to investigate the effect of curcumin or celecoxib on the interaction of tumor cells and myofibroblast (tumor stroma).The project will involve in cell co-culture systems, apoptosis signal pathway, interaction of cancer and tumor stroma, tumor metastasis, tumor xenograft nude mice model or analysis of metabolites.

留学时间:次年1月初---次年5月底

招生专业:药学院、生科院、中药院所有专业人员

招生条件:

1、现为我校相关专业大四全日制在读本科生;

2、具备良好的英语听说能力;

3、必修课程无补考或重修记录,GPA3.0以上;

4、有一定经济能力

5、具备相关课题的科研基础;

参与报名者须同时满足以上五项内容。
